The BCX Digital Innovation Awards was launched in 2019 as a vehicle through which BCX could recognise Digital Innovation Excellence in South African organisations. The awards initially launched with two categories, SME and Corporate. Today it has expanded to include the Public Sector.
The award has seen impressive growth since its start in 2019 seeing celebrated companies submitting powerful examples of South African innovation excellence and success.
The future growth of the awards will see an expansion into countries outside of South Africa. There will also be the inclusion of a university category.
The making of the BCX Digital Innovation Awards
Each year the awards are opened to South African organisations to submit their innovation showcases. Once entries have closed, a specialised committee of innovation experts shortlist the top submissions in each category. These shortlisted entrants are invited to the awards recording studio to showcase their innovations. All shortlisted candidates are invited to the black-tie awards ceremony held in Johannesburg in November, where the winners will be announced.
